The First stop to the Sierra Nevada’s

I recently traveled to the Sierra Nevadas, where I had the incredible opportunity to visit the majestic Yosemite National Park. While I was there, my dad and I rented pedal-assist mountain bikes. Experiencing new terrain has always been one of my biggest dreams as a mountain biker. Learning that a blue trail in the Sierra Nevada can feel like a black trail in Florida was an exciting way to discover what types of trails I enjoy riding most. Riding downhill is excellent training because it teaches me how to use my brakes effectively and how to precisely control my speed. I often talk about learning to focus my ADHD on the terrain ahead, but that is only part of the challenge. I also have to stay focused on maintaining my speed, using my brakes correctly, keeping my balance, and steering accurately. Paying attention to all of these skills at once helps me stay in control and safely behind my handlebars.
