“It’s More Than a Hobby”

About five years ago, my dad — a former mountain biker himself — introduced me to mountain biking. The moment I swung my leg over that bike, I fell completely in love. Once we hit the trails, I couldn’t hop off. I wanted to ride forever.

Four years later, at 13, I had outgrown my old bike and desperately needed something bigger. For my birthday, my dad surprised me with a brand-new Gen 6 Trek Marlin. The very next day we were back on the trails, and it felt like the start of a whole new chapter.

Now that I’m older and more grown, I’ve learned to focus my ADHD into mountain biking. What used to feel like a distraction has become my greatest strength on the trails.

After almost a full year of riding and showing good responsibility, listening to feedback, and making smart decisions on the trail or in general, my dad decided it was time for me to get an electric mountain biking. He surprised me with a Trek Rail+, which has easily become one of the best gifts I've ever received (right behind my pets!). Around the same time, he also bought himself a Trek Fuel EXe, so now we get to explore new trails together on two incredible bikes. Mountain biking has become much more than just a hobby for me—it has given my dad and me a way to share adventures, challenge ourselves, and create memories that we'll never forget!
