All about the speed, a week later, avoiding the speed!

Recently, I visited the Venice Bike Park and Celery Fields. The difference in the terrain was, in fact, opposite! First off, in Venice, it was more of a flat trail that was very open. I had to channel my ADHD into the speed. I had to do this because there weren’t many rocks, roots, and bumps that needed to keep me focused. This was far from what I’m used to while I am mountain biking, so at first it was almost difficult, but then after I started to pick up on how to channel my energy, it was pretty simple. On the other hand, Celery Fields was all about speed limiting. The name Celery Fields is ironic because it is actually a group of large, tall hills that are accessible to the walker and biker. The climb wasn’t too challenging thanks to the Bosch motor, but otherwise I had to lock my factor of ADHD into the fact that if I gain too much speed, I’m at risk of wiping out. Channeling my energy like this taught me that there really isn’t one concept of mountain biking to grasp, but rather every sector and bit is equally as important. I realized that sometimes I have to channel most of my energy into the speed and sometimes into slowing down, similar to Venice and Celery Fields. I’m beginning to realize that in life, this is very similar throughout my teenage years. I must channel my ADHD into different things.
